Hypernet
An alternative to the World Wide Web.
Released: Coming soon!
Hypernet is an alternative to the World Wide Web with our own connections, domains, web standards, etc. It'd still use your internet connection though, I'm not THAT crazy.
And like KatOS and Lumenix, I have attempted this, but haven't gone too far yet. But it's a lot more into planning and whatnot.
In fact, I'll LEAK my own plans here.
(If anyone knows Python and is interested in doing this with me, hit me up on Discord (@katniny) because honestly I'd be more than down)
Plans:
Connections
- Secure: When you're securely connected to a website on Hypernet, you'll be connected via stp://, aka Secure Transfer Protocol. This site can handle sensitive information such as passwords, payment info, and more. In order for a site to be connected via stp://, their website has to get a confirmed certificate by Katniny Studios.
- Insecure: When you are not securely connected to a website on Hypernet, you'll be connected via trp:// or Transfer Protocol. This site can still handle sensitive information, but please ensure you trust the website developer before logging in, giving it payment information, and more. To apply for a stp:// certificate, please visit stp://domains.hypernet/get-certified.
- File: This is a local file. If you downloaded it from the internet, please ensure that it doesn't attempt to steal cookies or sensitive information from other browsers. If you made this file, this should not be a huge concern.
